Everyone loves those types of sites that have everything they need in one go, like Facebook. However, is Facebook really the type of website to promote a professional persona for either yourself or your brand, I don't think so. So, when you start to promote yourself, even if your looking for a job, having a site to help will make your life a little bit easier. This is where Linkedin comes in to play.

Having the push to get started is almost as important than actually starting the process. Geralyn Mitchell, a career counselor for the college of fine and applied arts, is the right person for the perfect push. She came in to give a lecture on Linkedin, and really encouraged me to take a look at it. She explained the process and how to really get your foot in the door for after college with companies in your field of expertise. One of the main uses for Linkedin is so that companies looking for new members can search for potential employees. This site is amazing for when students are just graduating from college, and are trying to look for a company in their field to work for. Linkedin has almost everything that a future employer would like to look at.
Geralyn Mitchell is an excellent speaker and helps a lot of students find the road best suited for them. She has opened a great opportunity that will help me in finding my own way in life, one click at a time.
