The Mixing Pot

I have always had a soft heart for antiques, like anyone else. However, when it comes to thing of the old nature, I zero in on vintage technology. Recently I was gifted a 2000 macbook last year for Christmas (yes, I am a geek like this). Some might not say it's old, but have you seen it, it looks like it has jumped right off the screen of a 1980's syfy film (which are classics). Anyways, back to the point. What's really interesting is that we are now trying to combine both the new and the old in our new innovations. For example, this retro-style looking gramophone IPhone deck.

This technology doesn't just stop at IPhone decks. We are seeing this new trend in computers, radios, and even automobiles. Seeing our society trying to bring us back to the forefront of what was then new technology, really brings out how far we've actually come and how far we can go. I know I'm getting sentimental, but nothing brings us closer to who we are than seeing it all around us, but in a new an exciting way.
